The Present Continuous (also called Present Progressive) is used to describe actions that are happening at the moment of speaking, actions that are temporary, or plans for the future.
Structure of Present Continuous:
Affirmative Form:
Subject + am / is / are + verb + -ing👉
Example:
I am reading a book.
She is woring right now.
They are playing soccer.
Negative Form:
Subject + am / is / are + not + verb + -ing👉
Example:
I am not eating dinner.
She is not watching TV.
They are not playing tennis.
Interrogative Form:
Am / Is / Are + subject + verb + -ing?👉

When to Use Present Continuous:
Actions happening right now:👉
We are studying English. (We are doing it at this moment.)
She is talking to her friend. (She is doing it right now.)
Temporary actions or situations:👉
I am living in London for a year. (It is not permanent.)
He is staying at his cousin's house this week. (Temporary situation.)

The weather is getting colder. (A change that is happening.)
